The decision to contact Hospice can seem like an impossible choice. In fact, many patients, their Families / Caregivers, and Physicians wait too long before contacting Hospice. Fast Hospice focuses on patient-specific care plans and our comfort care approach can help relieve patient/family stress, aid in pain relief/reduction, and aid in overall quality of life for the patient needing the hospice care services.
Hospice Care can be a difficult topic to talk with a loved one about. Whether you are the patient needing hospice care or a family member/caregiver suggesting hospice care for a patient, the conversation can be a tough one. There are many misconceptions about Hospice Care and many times, hospice care begins too late. Hospice Care can provide Patient Comfort, access to DME and Medications, and clinician visits without out-of-pocket expenses that someone may not receive if they weren’t receiving Hospice Care.
It is important to discuss “what if” scenarios and create a plan for the next steps. Making a plan, open communication, and family support are the keys to ensuring a smooth transition to Hospice Care for a Patient. Fast Hospice provides Spiritual and Clinical support for patients and their families. One of our Hospice Care Representatives is always happy to discuss all options regarding Hospice Care questions, concerns, eligibility, EOB (explanation of benefits) and coverage with patients and their families.

Hospice care provides a number of benefits for patients and their families, including pain management, emotional support, spiritual care, and counseling. Hospice care can also help patients and their families prepare for the end-of-life process and provide a sense of closure and peace.
If you or your loved one has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has a life expectancy of six months or less, hospice care may be a good option. Hospice care can provide comfort, support, and pain management during the end-of-life process. It is important to talk to your doctor and hospice team to determine if hospice care is the right choice for you or your loved one.
Hospice care providers are typically trained and licensed healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. Hospice care providers have specialized training in end-of-life care and work together to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
Before hospice services can begin, we must receive a referral. The referral process consists of assisting the patient and family in checking the patient's insurance for hospice service coverage. Hospice accepts Medicare, MediCal, and other private insurances. Once the Hospice representative updates the patient and their family of their insurance coverage the representative will visit the patient within 48 hours. During the visit, the representative will go over information which includes the explanation of benefits (EOB) and the assessment and evaluation of the eligibility of the patient. If the patient is deemed eligible to receive hospice services, the hospice team will collaborate with the patient / family to create the appropriate care plan for the patient.
We concentrate on managing the patient's pain so the patient can live life comfortably. Our Hospice services are provided wherever the patient may live.
At Fast Hospice, we understand that hospice care is a deeply personal and emotional experience. That's why we strive to provide our patients and their families with the utmost comfort, compassion, and dignity during this time.
